Parish Snapshot...Winter 2017

Our Lady of Divine Providence in Metairie remembered the anniversary of Roe v. Wade with speakers at each Mass the weekend of January 21/22 & a display table with their ministry's information encouraging others to become involved.  Thank you, Kathy, for your wonderful leadership at Our Lady of Divine Providence!

Respect Life Week in the Schools/PSRs...Fall 2016

St. Philip Neri School celebrated Respect Life Week this year.  In response to the corporal work of mercy to reach out to those who are at the end of life & their loved ones, they collected gift bags for  Angels' Place, an organization that provides support to terminally ill children & their families in the New Orleans area.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School also celebrated Respect Life Week.  One of their activities included a Chalk the Sidewalk for Life day...

Parish Shapshot!...Summer 2016

The Respect Life Coordinators/Groups at St. Charles Borromeo, Our Lady of Divine Providence, & the Ignatius Chapel Community (Holy Name of Jesus) collected 2 vehicles-full of needed items for the Free Indeed Home where girls who have been sex trafficked are able to heal after their experience of being trafficked.  They are beautiful young women who are finally able to be in a place where they are loved unconditionally.  The staff of this home daily meets their needs — physical, emotional, mental, spiritual — and gives them a place where they may truly come to know the love of God and the joy of living authentically.  The generous outpouring from these parishes is so very much appreciated!

Parish Snapshot!...Spring 2016

From Pro Life Club Moderator at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, Natasia Kissinger…the 4th grade classes at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School collected & prepared beautiful gift bags with sweet hand-written notes & pictures for the Baronne Street Housing Homeless Shelter residents!  What a wonderful inspiration to all of us!  Thank you, Mrs. Mielke’s & Mrs. Impastato’s classes & Natasia for your respect life guidance in the parish & school!
